Privacy notice

Effective date: October 17, 2026

Hours Back collects only the personal information it needs to reply to you and to do the work you ask for. This notice follows the principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What I collect

  • Contact form: your name, email, business name (optional) and your message. The form is sent through Formspree, a service based in the United States (see Service providers below).
  • Booking a call: your name, email and the time you choose, collected by the booking service Google.
  • During an assessment: information you choose to share about how your business runs, such as call volumes, job values and the tools you use.

This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies.

How I use it

I use your information only to reply to you, schedule calls, and carry out and follow up on work you've asked for. I don't sell your information, and I don't share it with other businesses for their own marketing.

Service providers

A few trusted services help run this site and my business. They handle your information only to provide their service:

  • Formspree, a form service based in the United States. When you send the contact form, your details travel through Formspree's servers so they can be delivered to me, and Formspree may keep a copy of submissions under its own privacy policy.
  • Google, for booking calls
  • Google, for email
  • Netlify, which hosts this website

Some of these services store information outside Canada, so it may be subject to the laws of those countries.

How long I keep it

I keep contact messages and assessment information for two years after our last contact, then delete it, unless the law requires me to keep it longer (for example, invoices for tax purposes).

Keeping it safe

I use reasonable safeguards, such as strong passwords and two-factor authentication, to protect your information from loss or misuse.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Email xing@gethoursback.ca and I'll reply within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
